How you found the site: I typed in 'lxg orlando' (Orlando is my favourite character from The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) and discovered this site.
Character Information:
Character Name: Orlando
Height: Tallish
Weight: Slender
Age: At least three hundred years
Gender: Unknown, but possibly female
Novel: Orlando: a Biography
Plot of Novel: An Elizabethan nobleman, after watching a fight in Turkey, becomes a woman and lives for a few centuries, dying in 1928.
Author of Novel: Virginia Woolf
Physical Description: Large, violet eyes, slender figure, dark hair, shapely legs, somewhat feminine appearance, rectangular face
Attire: Long skirt, shirt, women's coat, pearl necklace and other Victorian/Edwardian womenswear
Personality: Gentle, poetic and dreamy
History: Orlando was an Elizabethan nobleman who became one of Queen Elizabeth's favourites because of his youthful, feminine beauty, and was writing a poem called The Oak Tree. The Queen soon died, and Orlando, during The Great Frost, fell in love with a Russian girl named Sasha, who was the daughter of the Russian ambassador. Sasha was in love with someone else, though, and the heart-broken Orlando became an Ambassodor and went to Turkey. He became a Duke, and a fight started. Orlando fell into a coma, during which he changed gender. Orlando, after a week, awoke from the coma and went back to England. She, no longer a man, fell in love with Alexander Pope (I think), worked on The Oak Tree and met another man (I forgot his name). They fell in love with each other, and Orlando had his child. She died in 1928.
